From the Editor: In-plants EverywhereOctober 2013 By Bob Neubauer
Later that day, Xerox hosted managers for a third in-plant conclave that drew about 80 in-plants. A similar event took place the next day when the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association held a lunch event titled "In-plant Trends & Best Practices." More than 100 people, most of them in-plant managers, packed the room to hear fellow managers offer some best practices advice.
A few days after PRINT, I flew to Austin, Texas, to hang out with about 30 managers at SUPDMC. A lot of the discussion centered on outsourcing threats and how to survive beyond the dreaded Monday morning phone call from your boss. (Read the SUPDMC story for more.)
I enjoyed speaking with so many managers over a short, 10-day period, but as I write this on the plane heading back from Austin, I'm also ready to stay home for a little while.
