New Ink from Xerox to Change Economics of Commercial Inkjet Printing
For many printers, the cost savings derived from inkjet technology was offset by the expense of pre-or-post coating the paper or having to purchase specialty inkjet coated paper. With the introduction of the Xerox Trivor 2400 High Fusion Inkjet Press, all that has changed. Xerox’s new High Fusion Ink produces high-quality results direct to offset coated paper on the Trivor 2400, removing the need for intermediate coating processes, primers or added hardware.
The Trivor 2400 High Fusion Inkjet Press allows print providers to expand their inkjet media range to produce cost-effective, higher-value personalized jobs such as direct mail, catalogs, magazines and color books. High Fusion Ink is specially formulated to optimize printing and drying on offset coated media including matte, silk and glass stock from 60 to 250 gsm, up to 250 feet per minute.
“The speed, great color range and ability to print on regular offset coated stock with no pre- or post-treatment makes the Trivor 2400 High Fusion Inkjet Press a breakthrough innovation in production inkjet,” said David Zwang, principal consultant, Zwang & Co.
While High Fusion Ink is optimized for commodity offset coated papers, it also runs on a range of uncoated media, providing cost-effective redundancy for a versatile set of print jobs.
Taking Personalization to New Heights
Belgium-based print provider, VPrint, was in search of a way to produce high-quality, personalized large-volume direct mail, all without the added cost of specialty stocks for inkjet printing. The company found the perfect solution in the Trivor 2400 High Fusion Inkjet Press.
“The ability to print directly on offset coated media without any specialty treatments using High Fusion Ink has enabled us to achieve full color personalization across our direct mail applications,” said Thierry Ngoma, plant manager, VPrint. “The flexibility, impressive print quality and speed that the Trivor 2400 delivers cannot be matched by any other device on the market.”
The Trivor 2400 High Fusion Inkjet Press was named a PRINT 17 Must See 'Ems award winner, meaning it is a product that attendees must see at the show. The press will be on display from Sept. 10-14 at PRINT 17 in Chicago. Come see where physical meets digital in the Xerox booth #1302.
The Xerox Trivor 2400 High Fusion Inkjet Press will be available for installs starting in October worldwide. It will be available for order taking at PRINT 17.
