INTERQUEST Hosts Government In-plant Forum in D.C.
On Wednesday, just a week after the NGPA conference, government and university printers met once again in Washington, D.C., for the fourth annual Digital Printing in Government and Higher Education Forum. Presented by INTERQUEST, a digital printing market research and consulting firm, the one-day forum included presentations by several in-plant managers, including:
• Leslie Rutledge, Manager, ReproGraphic Services, San Diego State University
• Steven Howe, Manager, Printing Services, Stores, and Mail Operations, City of Cincinnati
• Jane Bloodworth, manager of Printing, Graphics and Map Design at The World Bank
• Wilma Grant, Publishing Manager, Print/Digital Media, the Supreme Court of the United States.
Gilles Biscos, founder and president of INTERQUEST, gave an update of the digital printing market and analyzed key trends. He noted a slowing in the growth of digital color print volume and said that transactional printing is showing a slight decline.
Though none of the in-plant attendees at the forum had also been at NGPA’s conference, several vendor representatives (as well as IPG) were at both events.
