Making the Big Plays

One of the country’s largest in-plants, University of Oklahoma Printing, Mailing and Document Services, has devised a winning game plan by thinking big and taking chances.

Gathered in the Great Reading Room of OU’s Bizzell Memorial Library are (from left): Heather Williamson, John Sarantakos, Bob Goodwin and Sherri Isbell.

The in-plant’s expansive 60,000-square-foot facility is home to an eight-color 28x40˝ Heidelberg Speedmaster 102 perfector. It is one of only a few in-plants to own a press of this size.

OU’s high-quality digital color printing is produced on a Kodak NexPress 3300, which has allowed the in-plant to substantially increase its variable data printing.

Darryle Rattler runs a plate on the in-plant’s Kodak Magnus computer-to-plate system.
