Despite some chilly spring weather, Milwaukee gave a warm welcome to the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association last month. More than 130 in-plant managers were on hand to celebrate IPMA's 50th anniversary during a very busy conference. Their ranks included many first-time and long-absent attendees, which added a new dynamic to the discussions throughout the four-day event. A number of government printers from the National Government Publishing Association, now part of IPMA, were there this year, as well as two attendees from Australia.

Last month the Association of College and University Printers conference brought 82 higher-ed in-plant managers to Phoenix for four days of education, networking and fun.

The 47th annual Association of College & University Printers conference has come to a close. Nearly 100 in-plant managers from 70 universities met in Harrisburg, Pa., recently for two days of educational sessions, followed by a trip to Lewisburg to tour Bucknell University's in-plant and see its Xerox Color 800 press in action. This was followed by a special screening of the documentary Linotype, The Film at The Campus Theatre.
Kodak and Konica Minolta have partnered to offer their costumers access to both companies' digital printing solutions. Under the new global distribution agreement, the companies will offer production digital printing systems from each company’s portfolio, providing customers with more options.
