As he sat at the IPMA awards banquet last month, watching the video of the In-Print contest judges selecting the Best of Show winner, Steve Rigby was surprisingly calm. Two of Washington State University's Gold-winning pieces were among the final four, and he was feeling rather confident.
The winners of the In-Print 2012 contest have been announced. The contest, judged last week in Kearney, Mo., drew more than 450 entries and yielded 79 winners from 37 different in-plants. These included at least 20 winners that have never won an In-Print award. All told, the judges awarded 35 Gold, 25 Silver, 18 Bronze and one Judges Recognition Award.
A quick look at the agenda for the upcoming In-Plant Printing & Mailing Association (IPMA) conference reveals an information-packed three-day event is in the works. The annual in-plant conference will take place in Kansas City, Mo., from June 24-27.
In a ceremony Wednesday night in Charleston, S.C., the winners of the In-Print 2011 Best of Show awards were revealed. Brigham Young University was honored with the top award out of all the Gold winners in the offset categories, while the University of North Texas won the Best of Show award for the second year in a row in the non-offset categories.
On March 14, the judges of the In-Print 2011 contest examined more than 400 printed pieces and picked 75 winners. Here they are.
