Tops Agenda at EFI Connect

It’s hard to improve on a winning formula, but EFI has continued to raise the bar for its Connect users’ conference as illustrated by last month’s 15th annual event in Las Vegas. Approximately 1,500 attendees—1,000 of them EFI customers from 25 different countries (a 20 percent jump from the previous year)—gathered at The Wynn Las Vegas for four days of educational and breakout sessions, plus several keynote presentations.

On the Road: Customer Interaction Takes Center Stage at EFI Connect

EFI proved that "what happens in Vegas doesn't have to stay in Vegas," especially for the roughly 800 attendees who could select from more than 150 breakout and training sessions at the EFI Connect users' group meeting held here Jan. 15-18 at the Wynn Las Vegas. Sessions covered MIS/ERP software, Web-to-print systems, industrial inkjet printers and Fiery technology.

Must See ’Ems Winners to be Shown Off at Graph Expo

Cal Poly Acquires Digital Web Press, Diecutter Valued at More Than $350K

HP donated an HP Indigo ws4000 series web press and Esko provided a Kongsberg iCut variable data diecutting system to Cal Poly’s Graphic Communication Department. “Capturing, printing and diecutting digital images—static or variable—in a closed-loop workflow represents a direction that will keep the commercial printing and packaging industries viable in the years ahead,” said Department Head Harvey Levenson.
