Bob has served as editor of In-plant Impressions since October of 1994. Prior to that he served for three years as managing editor of Printing Impressions, a commercial printing publication. Mr. Neubauer is very active in the U.S. in-plant industry. He attends all the major in-plant conferences and has visited more than 170 in-plant operations around the world. He has given presentations to numerous in-plant groups in the U.S., Canada and Australia, including the Association of College and University Printers and the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association. He also coordinates the annual In-Print contest, co-sponsored by IPMA and In-plant Impressions.

On Monday, Wausau Paper opened a new East Coast distribution center in Allentown, Pa. The new distribution center will enable overnight and same day delivery service to a geographically broader group of customers across the East Coast. Strategically located near the interchange of Interstates 78 and 476, the facility will be managed by the third-party logistics provider Nexus Distribution Corp. The On Demand Conference & Expo completed its 2007 run last week at the Boston Convention & Exposition Center. Changing locations has been part of the story with this event since the move from its home in New York City to Philadelphia and now on to Boston through 2008. While the facility was striking, exhibitors were speculating that show floor traffic was lighter and more regional than last year (attendance figures have yet to be released). When I flew up to Ontario last month to attend the College and University Print Management Association of Canada (CUPMAC) conference, I thought I would be getting away from the oppressive heat then plaguing the East Coast.
