IPG Editor Bob Neubauer joined a dozen or so university in-plant managers in Birmingham, Ala., for the annual Xerox Higher Education Customer Advisory Council Meeting.

With just over two weeks to go until the Association of College and University Printers (ACUP) conference in Dallas, a handful of higher-ed in-plant managers got a sort of preview this week when they met in Rochester, N.Y. On Wednesday and Thursday, Xerox held a Thought Leadership Workshop at its Gil Hatch Center for Customer Innovation, bringing about 30 in-plant representatives together for two days of tours, presentations and networking.

IPG’s latest ranking of the largest in-plants reveals some drastic changes, especially when one compares it with our list from 10 years ago. In particular, some of the largest university in-plants back in 2000 aren't even in our top 15 this year.

The Central Pennsylvania chapter of the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA) held a technology day recently at Penn State’s Multimedia and Print Center. Hosted by Xerox, the event brought 12 in-plant representatives together for a day of conversation and education.
