Bob has served as editor of In-plant Impressions since October of 1994. Prior to that he served for three years as managing editor of Printing Impressions, a commercial printing publication. Mr. Neubauer is very active in the U.S. in-plant industry. He attends all the major in-plant conferences and has visited more than 170 in-plant operations around the world. He has given presentations to numerous in-plant groups in the U.S., Canada and Australia, including the Association of College and University Printers and the In-plant Printing and Mailing Association. He also coordinates the annual In-Print contest, co-sponsored by IPMA and In-plant Impressions.

Insurance is all about planning ahead. As the in-plant for one of the largest health insurers in the United States, Highmark's Corporate Printing Services (CPS) operation recently executed well-planned facilities and technology upgrades that leave it extremely well-positioned for the future.

It’s been several weeks since representatives of the in-plant community descended on Printing Industries of America (PIA) headquarters near Pittsburgh for an “In-plant/PIA Summit.” The summit was the brainchild of recently elected PIA board chairman Tim Burton and followed on the heels of unsuccessful merger talks between PIA and NAPL.

Konica Minolta Business Solutions recently held an in-plant open house at its facility in Pittsburgh, Pa. In-plants from around the region attended the event, which featured seminars and demos of equipment from Konica Minolta and its partners.

Aflac's printing subsidiary, Communicorp, has been awarded Quality Management Certification, having met the standards set forth by the International Organization for Standards (ISO), a developer and publisher of International Standards.

Printing Industries of America has always viewed HP as a company that offers high-impact digital solutions to the printing industry. Hundreds of printers throughout the United States have availed themselves of HP products to service their customers — spending millions of dollars with HP in the process.
