Bob Tapella, Public Printer of the United States, has announced his resignation as head of the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO), the largest in-plant in the country. Tapella has overseen the 150-year-old agency the last three years. He was nominated by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in 2007 to become the 25th Public Printer of the United States.
